He is without a doubt my favourite author of Modern Fantasy. I was intereted in learning if anybody else was a fan, was interested in learning about him or had simply read some of his books. If you haven't heard of him I highly recommend that you take a look at 'The Riftwar Saga' if you are a fan of Modern Fantasy. Any takers? I'm looking at you Poru and Spike. <3

As I said to you, I love the drawing style but they've absolutely butchered the story and also the characters. Mind you, being such a big fan of the series I'm almost invariably never going to be pleased.

I have heard of the author and I have also heard of the Riftwar saga...I hope to read it after I'm finished with the books that I'm currently reading...people have told me it's really good.

I've read the Riftwar saga. Though it got boring towards the middle in places, it is an excellent read. It helped re-revive my interest in modern fantasy novels.

I haven't read any of his other works all spinning off of this though.

I know this is an old thread.. I know, but I am also a fan of Raymond E. Feist. So far the only book I have read is Magician: Apprentice. And I am starting on Magician: Master . Haven't began reading his other stuff yet (Schools killing me) But I might check out the Riftwar saga.

I've read the Riftwar Saga, the two books in between(Prince Of The Blood and The King's Buccaneer), the Serpentwar Saga, the first two books of the Conclave Of Shadows series, and his series with Janny Wurts set on Kelawan.

Easily one of my favourite authors. Nakor is the man!

You should definitely check out the rest of the Riftwar Saga. It's a fantastic read. We get Magician in one book over here so I'm guessing that you're just landing on Kelewan?

Have you read any of the side-stories that he's done Elijah, bar the Kelewan ones? The Krondor ones are very good and fill in a lot of details. One or two of the Riftwar Chronicles aren't bad either and are worth a read.

Shit, I forgot the Krondor ones(I got them for my birthday, no less!). I haven't had a chance to read the Riftwar Chronicles(The one about Jimmy and the Tsurani guarding party, right?) because I haven't found them in the local bookshops, though I've heard they're a good read.

Ahoy brethren !

Yes i am a Freist fun too. I have read all the 4 books of Riftwar Saga and he's one my favourites writers. I am a big fan of fantasy books and i have read a lot. Feist touched me as Tolkin did.

His plot about the - Valerou Gods - was superb.

You know after reading sooo many fantasy stories you expect each time to read something NEW. In Riftwar Saga , Valerou and the transition between these two worlds was the highlights concerning this.

It's nice to see fellows!

I've just started on Prince of the Blood.
The first three of Riftwar are easily in my top 10 book list.
They're completely gripping and i love the concepts of the books, unlike many fantasy books that exist.
