View Full Version : King/Queen of Spam - January

Hi Guys.

This is a new idea which the Staff have kindly let me try out. The idea is to hold a monthly vote on which thread was the funniest, most entertaining, most informative thread in the spam forum. I'm hoping that this will become a regular thing, held toward the end of the month. Every month.

Then all you have to do is vote. The lucky recipient should receive a colour user title in the form of 'King/Queen of Spam' for a month and 30 rep. If a mod gets the prize they can give it to whom they feel deserves it (ie who they've got a secret crush on)

At the moment we need some nominations. So if you think a thread should go forward, post it up in here and it should make the list. Threads have to be made after the 1st January 2008 to be elligible. The voting thread will go up as soon as we have 5 threads listed and agreed upon, so get suggesting.

Each user can only have 1 thread in each poll, so despite my Rutget Hauer and Mass Effects threads being awesome...I could only be nominated for one.

Savvy?

KFT's VincentTheEmoGoth, not because it is amazing in anyway, but because it provoked a lot of activity. It was also created on 1/1/8 which... doesn't justify a nomination in anyway...

I'll have to second it. Although I haven't been reading much of it, there's nothing el;se noteworthy right now.

My vote falls for KFT. Such a fun thread it is.

We're not voting yet, we're nominating, and then we vote through a poll.

Sheesh, people.

I want nominate (can I nominate twice? no one else is doing it) Monophonic's 100 Greatest Quotes from Fundamentalist Christians. I know all he did was post a link, but the contents of that link really are funny.

100 Greatest Quotes from Fundementalist Christians - Monophonic

Awesome, I love that thread too.

I'm going to nominate Metro's thread on Their Will Be Blood, partially because I'm so excited to see that film

If you don't look at this thread you will fall ill... (http://forums.ffinsider.net/showthread.php?t=11493)

I suspect the Vincent thread has this month's award wrapped up already but I'll nominate "I stabbed a girl at work today" by Astroboy.

I suspect the same, but I think I would vote for Mono's over KFT's. :)

Very good idea!

I want to second Astroboy's thread... If threads need seconding....

This. Some of those quotes are absolutely golden.

Is this thing going ahead? Anymore nominations?

Thanks for the vote :D

I guess we have pretty much covered all the interesting threads now for this month, unless anything springs up in the next week or so. We'll be lucky to find any other month this year with this much good stuff to vote for!

Yes, I think that is five nominations, so Spike just has to put a poll up now.

I actually do not know which one to vote for. :(

It's a hard choice but there's one clear winner in my eyes, the whole vincent thread. That thread made me laugh out loud at some points and it only got better when Jew's were mentioned, it kind of lost it's steam and tempted the members forgotten about out of the shadows but still, a brilliant thread.
