FF X-2: Running the Gauntlet

Hi all,

I am on my third play of X-2. Although I have everything and gained 100% something in my last game went wrong to get everything mission complete. The problem was at the Mi'then Highroad. I caught Rin, successfully as the man responsible for the Machina Mayhem. I did everything that could be done and yet I still got 'Episode Concluded'. I'm droning on here. Point is, I haven't got the mascot Dress sphere and to do that I need everything completed.

Last time I played, I got a ridiculously high score at the Runners Gauntlet (3000 and something, I forget what exactly). I can't seem to beat this score. I am concerned that, even though I have beat the Gauntlet, I haven't beat the high score (that the computer now thinks is Bedlems high score even though it's mine the dirty cheat) and for that reason I might get the dreaded 'Episode Concluded'. Does anyone know if this is the case or not? Does it matter if you beat his score or not? I know I will miss a scene in Chapter 5, but will I get 'Completed'?

Whatever score you get in the gauntlet from a previous game, will be carried over as Beclem's high score. So, if you are intending on playing through multiple times, it is wise to not make the score an impossibility to beat. Not saying what you did wasn't smart, but if you made a score that high, you probably could beat it. As for the possibility of it affecting your Episode Complete ..... it probably will. I believe you have to beat his score in order to get a Mission Complete.

As for your Mi'hen Highroad problem. You have to pin the blame on Rikku or Calli to get an Episode Complete.

I didn't care about the high score because I thought I was going to get episode complete on everything until Mi'then Highroad messed it up. Thanks for cleaing up the matter that is has to be Rikku or Calli.

I really don't think I can beat that score... *sigh* what's the point :( I have tried several times but I always fall short.
