For those who fuck around on photoshop, I'll start throwing tips out.

How to make a photo look aged or over-exposed.

1) Take any picture and turn up the contrast; this way the lighter black tones become pitch black, almost.

2) Make a new layer and fill it with any dark tone. Personally I use a navy blue tone.

3) Finally, just set exclusion on the all tone layer.

You can manipulate the effect more by just eye-balling different strengths of say the opacity or contrast, just play around with it.

Here's an example I did with one of my pictures:

My tip is the following:

1) Scan in your image.
2) Open in Adobe Illustrator
3) Rasterize
4) Use LiveTrace
5) Export as .psd

BANG you have a digital drawing to do whatever you want with in Photoshop.

You can do it in Macromedia Flash, it has the same tool!

I wanna learn how to make those flashing animations that you have in most of your sigs. Can you do a tutorial for that? Please?

Example: Gunner's banner, KFT's avatar, etc.

there's lots of programs out there that i haven't tried. i've only used Adobe Imageready, it wasn't that great, but it'll get the job done.

try This (http://www.j-learning.org/present_it/page/creating_animated_gifs_with_image_ready/) for a simple tutorial on them.
