Blitzes

So how do you do them? I just don't get how you do them.

I have been stuck on the boss battle with Vargas on Mt Koltz on the GBA version of FFVI for over a month now and this is starting to piss me off.

I've looked at the Blitzes's faq up on Gamefaqs and some videos up at Youtube as well but they are no of help to me. I still don't get how you do Blitzes.

I've tried inputting Sabin's Pumell/Raging Fist Blitz using Left, Right, Left and A like its says on the screen and on the faqs and vids at least over hundred times. But the thing is, it never works for me - I keep getting the message Blitz input failed all the time.

So how do you get these stupid Blitzes to work?

I don't know why, but Blitz always seems to confuse a lot of people (me included) when they first play. ^^;

Anyway, first you select BLITZ from your menu, and press A once. The litle hand cursor should be pointing to Sabin. While it's pointing at Sabin, press left, right, left on the D-pad, and then press A again (to confirm the command). Hopefully that will work.

It threw me for six a couple of times when I was playing it on the PS2. I think it's a matter of knowing when the input commands start and end...

Yeah, blitzes were tricky as fuck on PSX cause of the funky d-pad...Try to mess w/your timing as well...you might be trying too fast & accidentally punching the direction in slightly wrong or something too. Or maybe too slow...? Though I don't even know if that's possible...>_>
