A little early I know, but feel free to make your provisional teams. You get unlimited free transfers until the season begins on the 16th August. I'm going to actually try to maintain a team for the first time in two seasons. Let me know your team name and I'll add you to the list.

I'll get my two teams up and running, straight off the bat!

One team only, this season!

I only need one team* to beat Nem!
What if Lampard leaves the premiership, maybe even Ronaldo too? Then people will actually have to have a think about who to put in the midfield! Unorthodox, but always inspired midfield captaincy choices helped my team surge to a strong finish at the end of last season (in other leagues) whilst others were still banking on Gerrard and Ronaldo for their points.
*this year, maybe, if he loses his internet connection.

Interesting to see that Modric is the fourth most selected midfielder already. No surprise that Torres has been chosen by almost half of teams. He was an inspired choice last season when everybody doubted my decision. Well, in the first six weeks I actually kept up with this! :(
The current title holder (ME) will undoubtedly throw his weight behind another sensational campaign.
Be prepared to suffer yet another season of disappointment, Malice Palace! :XD:
But lordy, I'm not picking my team yet - although getting Tevez last season when he was at listed at West Ham price before (we all knew he was) going to Man United was an inspired move for some of us.
I rarely pick my teams before a couple of days to go - things like Ronaldinho to City
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
could happen!

Here's my tentative team too!

Sensible Stoke investment there, 'hood! Last season Stoke scored alot of goals from set pieces, with Lawrence whipping the ball in to be headed home by either Cort or Shawcross.

Hopefully this season won't be as bad as last.
And now the time you all have been waiting for...my so-so team:
Kirkland (Wigan)
Laursen (Aston Villa)
McCartney (West Ham)
Dunne (Man City)
Warnock (Blackburn)
Gerrard (Liverpool)
Jenas (Tottenham)
Bullard (Fulham)
Torres (C) (Liverpool)
Defoe (Portsmouth)
Keane (Tottenham for now)
Subs:
Gordon (Sunderland)
Collins (Sunderland)
Brunt (West Brom)
Butt (New Castle)
I'm thinking about changing Defoe to Crouch, and I'm hoping Bullard gets many set pieces.
I don't understand why anyone is trying to depose King Nem after his electrifyin' last season!

You might have to rethink that C. strategy Nem!
I've gambled on Berbala going to Man United
Out: Keane
In: Berbatov
Out: James
In: Friedel

I was going to make the exact same transfer you cock-end! I'm keeping an eye on 'binho, 'dinho and Arshavin too.
If the Buck-Toothed Wonder goes to City, that'd make him the biggest sell-out since Bob went electric.
That said, it's not like Milan are going to be in the Champion's League next season, is it? (5th! HAH!)
I reckon Robinho is a possibility but unlikely. I'd like to see Arshavin at Arsenal though, I reckon he'd be excellent with the Fabster.
I doubt any of those three would be good value enough for a fantasy league team, it's all about finding this season's Laursen! Which could indeed be Laursen again

Looks like a few of the regulars have bottled it this year. If anything it only makes it easier for my crushing victory against Nem and his over-confident antics!

Mandave Town are gunning for the title this year!
1. Green (West Ham)
2. Lescott (Everton)
3. Laursen (Villa)
4. Campbell (Portsmouth)
5. Scharner (Wigan)
6. Petrov (Man City)
7. Barry (Villa)
8. Young (Villa)
9. Kranjcar (Portsmouth)
10. Berbatov (Spurs)
11. Santa Cruz (Blackeye)(C)
Subs:
Jaaskelainen (Bolton)
Distin (Portsmouth)
Malbranque (Spurs)
Kitson (Stoke)
Didn't see the point in picking Ronaldo if he's going to be out for 2 months.
Well apparently the whining mahogany twat is out ankled until October, so I've subbed him out (14m) replaced him with Fabregas (10m) freeing me up 4m to replace Fagan (5m) with RABBIE KEANE (9m)
I now have a Keane/Torres/Berbala front 3.
Hello, title!

Me too!
I didn't realise that I'd brought Keane back in in anticipation of his move (and gambling on him going up in price or something equally stupid after the move). I might still change it though. I don't know if I'm comfortable having two-thirds of my strike-force from the same club. It's not really good practice.
I wanted Fabregas initially, but I can't afford him. Maybe if I get rid of Torres, and then I can bring Gerrard in too I think. But I'd be mad to get rid of Torres, surely?
But I'd be mad to get rid of Torres, surely?
Correct!
I don't think it's mad to have two players from the same side out of your front three. It makes perfect sense. If they're scoring freely, then it's better than having one forward from a club and watching their partner score all the goals.
I'm going to try it for a month or so, and see how it turns out. I could have got that decision heinously wrong, but we'll see. Glad Friedel has gone to Villa, that's a better defence in front of him than Blackburn's. Bentley has gone to Spurs, again a better bet than Blackburn.
If Berbala stays, I hope Magic Juande will play him. I'd love to see him finishing what Modric/Dos Santos/Bentley/(Arshavin?) will create for him.

Looking good guys, nine teams is a healthy number for some decent competition. I'm not really sure who anyone is though. Could you post and let me know which team you are if you're name's not up at the top?
Bent's been shit-hot in pre-season, and the last time he was (a couple of years ago) he tore up the rulebook and scored like a billion goals the season proper.
If Berbala is preening and sulking, I get the feeling Magic Juande may just drop him and play Bent instead. That'd give me room to free up a bit more cash to improve my defence.
Hmm.... decisions decisions

Alright all you predictors, time to put your money where your mouth is. The fantasy football website has an add-on game for predicting the football scores week-in-week-out. It should be linked to above your team. Click 'I agree' and you're done. Simple. Then you input your predictions for the week.
The FFI league code is FB675-LEN. I expect to see you all signed up for this as well. Quick sharp!

I thought it would be a good idea to take Berbatov out for the week, as I can't see him starting today with all the transfer speculation and rumours about him putting in a request. Go, go, Santa Cruz!
