Ok, Final fantasy is a series of games that literaly raised me. Ever since i was a kid, through teenage and i hope through adulthood too. It is certain that through all that time it has changed my point of view, has shaped parts of my personality and tought me many things. Personaly i belive that the most pure thing in my soul has come from my final fantasy experience through these years. I was wandering, what did Final fantasy give to you besides countless hours of great gaming and many good memories, What higher teaching did it provide you?

[............]
It taught me the universes secrets and showed me the path to everlasting rear ache, staying still for THAT long infront of a tv isnt healthy. Really though, it taught me nothing. It was just another game.
It taught me that friends are only valuable if you take the time to level them up, and that even life's biggest challenges can be overcome if you stop a moment to arrange your materia properly.

I know how lame this is going to sound, but playing Final Fantasy (and other dialogue-heavy games) has helped me learn how to talk to people. Not that I was a blubbering idiot during my pre-FF days, but the conversations amongst friends (and enemies) in the series are quite enthralling and fun to read, and I just kind of subconsciously drew from those games and I have an easier time talking to people now.
That's not to say I go around screaming about Jenova or the Lifestream. Just, the cute and interesting relationships between all of the characters in FF8 was what I really drew a lot of conversation ideas from.
Aside from that, FF games have vastly improved my patience. They've helped me not to desire instant gratification all of the time, and the games have also tremendously evolved my love for writing and storytelling. I'd even go so far as to say that I may not even be as involved in writing as I am if it hadn't been for Final Fantasy.

Well Final Fantasy has actually taught me to be a better Person,Someone like Squall Leonhart has taught me to open up your Feelings and that your Friends are always there for you..the Ladies men like Edgar and Irvine have taught me that if you goof around like that..you are a Moron..:D
My Skills in English have upgraded and Yeah I love Music now..and I am a Better Person..I actually stuffer from Depression and Final Fantasy makes me so much Happier and more calm...
Final Fantasy taught me the mug ability.
erm...well to be honest it has increased my brain power to some extent, as in being able to work things out, and it also help me get better at reading, I mean I could read well before but by reading the game dialogue it improved on that a a great deal.

OK, i started the thread but i didn't really tell anyone what i learned so there i go. First of all i learned that true unity is the key of overcoming the mightiest obstacles in life, i learned that there is a variety of characters out there in people and all of them can be usefull somehow even if they don't look like it, I learned that cool music is not just Metal but more calm melodies too, i learned how to speak in english (the little i know at least..), it has given me the oportunety to escape from trouble and forget stuff i wanted to.It tought me that Graphics is not the only thing that makes a good game, after all FF6 the best final fantasy had poor graphics And most importantly through the mistakes of the people in the game i learned many more things. I know Raebus is probably right, Final fantasy does not hide anyUniversal secrets, and sitting infront of tv too much might harm you but Final fantasy isnot JUSTanother game, for many people Final fantasy was an important chapter in their life, after all i wouldn't trade my ff for all the games in the world (eh..i probably would but only if i copied them first).
