Deadly accurate and powerful, it can burn through twenty meters of titanium instantly, making it a weapon that can go through walls and hit a target, and accuracy tests show that it can hit a one-inch target at the range of two hundred meters. However, this railgun has high energy consumption, and is slow to fire. Thus, the railgun as a full-auto mode, turning it into an assault rifle with a high rate of fire, but the power is only equivalent to that of a normal assault rifle.
Dagger - Neife carries a dagger for close range combat. It is basically a normal dagger, although it is balanced for both close-range dagger fights and throwing. It is extremely sharp, and used more for slicing than stabbing.

The ability will then become his to keep, and he is allowed to absorb more than one ability (although only one may be absorbed at a single time), but he will have to relinquish all of his abilities (other than Absorb and Heal) after a set amount of time not restricted to a single thread (see the Background section for more information).
Heal - The first ability absorbed within genetic parameters, Neife can heal himself completely of all wounds. The process allows movement, but takes a short amount of time to achieve full effect. During this time, Neife is still prone to the damage of the inflicted wound.

It also cancels any stealth his foe may attempt, considering that Neife can directly see the aura around them. Neife's personality, re-engineered, puts him as a level-minded, but still somewhat sensitive, person. While he isn't quick to anger or any other evident form of emotion, he can be easily offended, and can easily misinterpret an action as a sign of hostility or betrayal. Despite this, Neife has an impressive amount of self-restraint, and is just tactful enough.

A Class S Reaver, Neife, originally Freedom, was created to be the highest class of living Reavers, but his severe imperfections hindered his abilities, and his powers were only comparable to that of a Class B Reaver. Ridiculed by his peers, Freedom had very few friends, although he was close with a fellow emotionless Class S Reaver known as Nataku. However, after a mission gone awry, Freedom was damaged and had a memory malfunction; it wasn't amnesia, but his mission to kidnap a human girl (there had never been a kidnapping mission before; the Reaver Directory, the highest authority of all Reavers, always encouraged assassinations or massacres against humans) was mistakenly interpreted as an escort mission to the human capital of Avion. Freedom took a bullet to the gut after trying to protect the girl, and the girl used her aurora abilities to cure Freedom. Aurora is the life force of the planet, in which all evolution and energy in induced; without aurora, there would be no energy, no evolution, and, thus, no life. After this girl cured him, though, Freedom suddenly began to grow powerful, defeating some of the most powerful Class S Reavers.
Freedom would later learn that the Reaver Directory had intentionally used him to kidnap the girl, a girl who had a specific genetic readout that would trigger Freedom's own evolution through aurora. Inside Freedom was the technology to absorb all aurora of the planet, to complete his evolution to the extent where he would arrive at a variable of the evolutionary chart, a variable that is both the end and the beginning; Freedom would finish his evolution and still continue to evolve. In short, the Reaver Directory was trying to create a God in which all minds, all souls, and all aurora would be carried. However, Freedom was not to be the God the Reaver Directory wanted to create. Rather, Freedom was merely the prototype, an experimental model that would pave way for the true god, Ultima. Freedom fought against the Reaver Directory, and against Ultima as well. Although Freedom was defeated several times, in the end, he managed to prevail against Ultima by absorbing Ultima's own evolution, instead of using Freedom's own evolution against Ultima, as Freedom's evolution will never surpass Ultima's evolution without Ultima's demise. However, in the end, Freedom has to make a decision. As long as Freedom exists, he will always absorb aurora and become immortal. However, by absorbing all the aurora of the planet, he is making the evolution of others impossible, meaning in the end, he will be the only living entity on the planet. The only way to prevent this is to kill himself.

However, practically no one wanted to see that happen. Eventually, however, a scientist close to Freedom manages to bring all sides to the table and provides a solution. The scientist miraculously re-engineers Freedom's specifications so that every month, he would release a certain amount of aurora to ensure Freedom will never gain so much aurora to cause a threat to the existence of others. However, the catch is that the humans and Reavers will both have to leave Freedom in peace, and that Freedom will have to have a brainwash and given a new identity. Freedom's appearance is re-engineered, given the identity of Neife, and is let to roam the world as a new person.
