So the main site for Dragon Quest VIII for Europe is up:
http://www.dragonquest.eu.com/en/
but its renamed to simply "Dragon Quest."
I foresee the inevitable confusion of the series in the future in PAL countries...
well considering Dragon Quest has never been released in Europe, any confusion will be minor. any future games can simply be renamed DQ2, DQ3 and so on or just remove the number and use second title (like DQ: Journey of the Cursed King).
it makes sense they'd remove the number because people may see 8 and not want to play it without having played 1 through 7 first.
hopefully the english actor who did the trailer will only be the bad actor. considering the game is getting redubbed with a cast from england, it could just be a waste of time.

They're redubbing it so they'll have English actors doing the voices? That seems kind of weird considering all the characters already sound English in the game. I guess they want a more accurate portrayal, I guess?
the news about the english actors came out a few months ago along with some changes they will be doing to do the game for the European release. News (http://www.ffinsider.net/news/1137256259.php)
i'm not sure why they decided to do it.

The game already has english voice actors XD atleast, it sounds like it. Plus they use the english spelling of a lot of words (defence). Weird.
I still need to finish this game. Blast that dhoulmagus.

All those changes, like the fully orchestrated soundtrack, are changes from the Japanese version. The American version already has fully orchestrated soundtrack, revamped menus, etc.
I think its just noting the changes from NTSC-J ---> NTSC-U/C and PAL.
