I need to set up a website to be able to sell some stuff to make a small profit. The only problem is, I have no idea where to start. I have no experience in setting up a website and I know practically nothing about html. If anyone could offer some assistance or tell me where to find a guide or something like that, I would be most grateful.
Thanks beforehand.
Toodles.
Okay, what you want to do is to set up an e-commerce website. You need to provide more details as to exactly what you want, though. Do you need a shopping cart system? Do you need to be able to accept multiple payment options like credit/debit cards and bank transfers? What's your budget for the project?
If you don't know how to make websites - you could either learn how, or pay a designer to make you one. Paying a designer to make an e-commerce website, however, can get quite costly. As can buying all the SSL certificates, gateways and merchant accounts yourself. I'd recommend myself as the web designer, but my site is only about 90% complete. :(
I recommend Paypal (www.paypal.com) if you're on a tight budget. If you can afford it, though, and you're serious about your business venture, then WorldPay (www.worldpay.com) may be a better option.
Normally, I'd say that you being 15 would mean that you couldn't possible be serious about an internet business venture. However, I myself have my own internet-based business (web design and development) at the age of 16. Mostly for summer money.
Hope that helped.

It certainly did. Mostly I'm not quite sure what my budget for this is. And I think a shopping cart system with Paypal would be good. But I just have no idea how to do this, and I don't think I'm gonna hire a designer.

What would you sell on your website? Another option is so make a site and put adverts on it useing something like google ad sense. You can earn a pretty penny if you have a nice original popular site/forum :)
