I think you're in America. If so then the release date for both the normal edition and collector's edition is October 31st.

I could end this statement with a lot more punctuation than is required but I won't because it couldn't be more annoying.

If it isn't then I'm sure there's going to be riots aplenty. It won't be appearing on the next-gen consoles, and no way would Final Fantasy switch last minute to the X-Box or the Gamecube ... so yes, yes it will.

i dont know they have been remake a lot of the original FF on DS and Gameboys yet agian they did start on nintendo but to have a Final Fantasy on like the Revolution(the next nintendo gen if you didnt know) would be cool and more afordible

The next Nintendo is called the Wii - Revolution was just a codename. And whilst it may be more affordable the Blue-Ray disks that come with the Playstation 3 would make it the logical choice for the next gen consoles.

And whilst there have been remakes on the DS and GBA - to release a new Final Fantasy game as an exclusive to a brand new console would be a bad move that would lose a lot of money for Enix.
