crookshanks an animagus

i was thinking that crookshanks hermiones cat in harry potter could well be an animagus. possibly of dumbledoor?? your thoughts here maybe the weasleys

Personally I don't see any reason why Rowling would make Crookshanks an animagus.

well i was lead to believe this by i couldnt believe that dumbledore was dead then maybe him having someone there with polyjuice potion playing the real dumbledore as a fake and then maybe he would use his animagus powers to hide as cruckshanks

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here. Are you saying Dumbledore would have someone "be" him under the influence of Polyjuice potion, knowing full well the consequences during the dangerous situation? I doubt he would let anyone die pretending to be him! Although, your theory that Crookshanks may be an animagus isn't all that crazy; the cat IS made out to be far more intelligent than your average pet.

you see maybe someone volunteered to protect dumbledore perhaps filtch or someone like that and yes he is more cleverer than your average pet but possibly dumbledore can transform into any animal he likes

Knowing Dumbledore's character, he wouldn't allow for anyone to protect him in that way; not when death is quite imminent.

Didn't he battle with Voldemort himself in the 5th book, you know, trying to protect Harry? Didn't he go on a dangerous quest with Harry in the last book to find one of the horocrux?

I wouldn't exactly call him a coward. If you're looking for a big twist; say Dumbledore is in fact in league with Voldemort, or something.

Crookshanks could be an animagus, but definitely not of Dumbledore. There's no way that would ever happen. And, even if something like that was in JK Rowling's plans, she would have planted more clues about Crookshanks being different.

I think that Crookshanks may have just been a tool to get people to pay attention to Scabbers, who really was an animagus. I don't see both Ron and Hermione's pets ending up as animagi. It's just too repetitive and I think JKR knows better than that.

And yes.. Crookshanks could be an animagus but it seems unlikely that it would be of Dumbledore

How could it be Filch when we know he's alive he was at the funeral. You might be right crookshanks could be an animagus and if so you've ruined the last book for me.
