Chocobos in FFX-2 (?)

I have encountered many chocobos in random battles in ffx-2 but they always run away. Can anyone tell me how to capture and ride a chocobo?:confused:

You have to pick Clasko up on Mi'Hen Highroad, and take him with you until he asks you to drop him off at the Calm Lands. From there, he'll ask you to clear out the old Fiend Battle Arena. Then, after that he'll talk and once you have some greens, you can start capturing them.

well once u have the greens just throw them at a wild chocobo to calm it down and destroy the other fiends after they are gone the chocobo will attack. just throw another green and u caught him...

In order to ride a chocobo you need to complete the meihen mystery then Rin will bring chocobos back to the highroad so that you may ride them there.

well u can also ride chocobos for free but it depends on who gets caught it could be rin or rikku or the prophet....

otherwise u have to pay....
