FFX-2 Boss Help

I am in Zanarkand and i need help to defeat the boss there. i am on level 9 and i have no were to train eithr (which is near the save point) i have to travel to get into a fight. i have rikku (warrior) Yuna (warrior) and paine (warrior)

How can i defeat it??

Well the lack of diversity in your team maybe the problem. Why not have one or two white mages to help you out? Maybe even two using Pray constantly while on warrior pounds the living daylights out of it?

Yeah that boss is really hard. Have you done the besaid mission yet? If not do that first. Lionhart has a good point, get some halers in there, and I always find that Yuna is pretty good as a gunner, and paine is the most powerful in the party when in warrior, so I suggest putting Rikku in White Mage. If you've tried these strategies a few times and still failed I suggest training you're party in somewhere with weak monsters like besaid. Hope I helped.

Kilika boss? It's the defender. Attack it with LVL 2 dark magic such as Fira and Thundara. Have a white mgae constnantly use pray and possibly protect if you have it. You way want to use a Warrior dress-sphere to use Power break on the boss. The same tactics apply to the boss in Zanarkand; also, it takes double damage from all elemental magic.

Yeah. You shouldn't have 3 warriors. When I was at the part you were at I had Yuna as a gunner, Riku as a black mage, and Paine as a warrior. I usually battle everything so that I can level up and not get stuck on a boss and go back to leveling up. So I kinda found the boss easy but all I can say is what Euphoria said use level 2 dark magic. And my advice battle whenever something comes up like random fiend battles...battle them it helps a lot later on.
