Name: Rhesus Amadeus Wolfbert Rhendossa IV
Age: Looks to be about 30.
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Eyes: Amber
Height: six foot, three inches
Weight: 175 pounds
Appearance: Rhesus is about six feet, three inches tall and weighs one hundred seventy five pounds. He has brown hair that is partially slicked back over his head. The rest of his hair falls over his forehead, around his ears, or on the nape of his neck. His animated bright brown eyes gaze at his surroundings with liveliness and interest. Rhesus has pale skin, mostly covered by cloth, and a tall, thin body. He had slender hand, good for writing, playing the violin, and casting nimble spell work.
Clothing: Rhesus wears long, fur-lined, white robes that trail on the ground behind him. For some reason, they never get dirty. The robes have silver embroidery on the edges, at the cuffs, and along the rim of the hood. A white stole hangs around his neck and to the front of his body, all the way down to the knees of the robe. Over his hands, he wears white silk gloves. Under his extravangant robe, he wears a white linen shirt and black slacks. Rhesus usually wears this robe for formal duties.
Weapon: Romulus Romanta - A pure white 6'6" staff, about two inches in diameter made from Mithril. Fastened on the tip in a mithril wrought hand is a huge egg-sized pearl. Runes have been carved all along the length of the shaft. At night, it is said that the Romulus Romanta glows in the dark, providing light.
Abilities: Although this spell caster has thousands of abilities and spells at his disposal, he only chooses to use a few, mainly because he can't remember them all...
Teleport: Rhesus folds the cloth of space itself, and with a whirl of his robe, he disappears, only to reappear in another location. This comes naturally for Rhesus.
Telekinesis: Self explanatory. The limit of Rhesus's power depends on the state of his mind. If he is awake, alert and focused, Rhesus can carry boulders with ease. At any other time, he'll only be able to carry light objects up to ten or twenty pounds.
Reshape: Taking any metallic object in his hands, Rhesus molds the metal in his fingers into anything he can think of. Swords, shields, etc. No laser guns or atom diffusers, though.
Animate: With a quick incantation, Rhesus can animate any life-like statue, humanoid object, animal-shaped thing, etc. These "golems" then serve as minions during battles. This comes in handy when Reshaping metals. After a while, these golems will revert to their original state.
Delving: Reading has always been enlightening for the soul. Rhesus holds open a book during battle, and depending on the type of book that it is, a different effect is cast. These effects are mild, but easily and quickly cast. Usually, this ability is not ideal in battle because books are not readily available in a battlefield, but when he has his hands on a spellbook, he uses it to his advantage.
Elemental manipulation: This is the reason why Rhesus is so dangerous. By molding the heat of fire to his bidding, he can expand, diminish, twist, move, reshape and extinguish any flame that he sees. Rhesus can summon winds, create small tornados, carry objects, and anything he can think of. Around water, Rhesus can directly reshape the mass, by draining lakes, freezing them, lifting quantities of water, shaping them into whatever he pleases, and creating ice statues. He can mold the shape of the earth, making rends on the ground, cracking boulders, erecting earth barriers, etc. With water and earth, Rhesus can create statues, then animate them into golems. With fire and wind, Rhesus can create missiles to launch at his enemies. He is a literal master of the elements.
Elemental conjuring: Rhesus can tap directly into the forces and essence of magic, to conjure any of the four elements. Fire, is easy to conjure, since it is already in an energy form, and therefore, does not need much conversion. Wind is simply a matter of displacing the air molecules around him. Since wind already does not have a concrete form, it is easier to summon than fire. Water is harder for Rhesus to conjure, because it has a corporeal form, therefore, magic must be converted into water. Earth, because it is rigid and corporeal, is the hardest to conjure. Not only does he have to convert it from magic, he has to create it into a shape that he had intended to use it in.
Personality: He's been revered as the greated Caster in Gaia... but his forgetfulness tends to supersede his fame. He has trouble remembering all the spells he acquired over the years, and he doesn't seem to mind it one bit; he's written them all down in a giant tome of his. Now, if he could only remember where he put that blasted thing...
Rhesus is a bit of a nutcase; he tends to forget that he is the Headmaster of a prestigious academy, and this results in awkward moments. Somewhat cheerful at times, downright scary when mad, but this is someone you'd definitely want on your side, through thick and thin.
History: He was born long before his time; centuries, to be more precise. His prolonged state of life is due to a curse that was placed on him when he was thirty.
While he was traveling on a respite from his Headmaster duties, he encountered a giant snake-like creature. It had been terrifying a small kingdom every full moon. Every month, the snake would enter the kingdom and swallow people.
Before he continued on his journey, Rhesus promised the king that he would rid them of the evil snake.
He was halfway successful. It was so filled with archaeic, evil magic that it could not be killed. Whever it would get cut in pieces, it would regenerate. It could not burn; it was immune to the elements. It was lightning fast; it was next to impossible to contain the serpent.
After a long and tremendous battle, Rhesus managed to seal its spirit into a tattoo on his back. It was the only way he could safely tame the snake. The tattoo curls around his shoulder blades and down his spine, ending at the small of his back.
This action did not come without consequences. Due to the tremendous amounts of evil energy, the tattoo had been slowly eating away at Rhesus's seal. Eventually, the snake would break free of the tattoo and terrorize the world once again. Meanwhile, the serpent's magic has placed a seal of its own on Rhesus himself. Rhesus cannot sleep, cannot gain nourishment, or cannot feel pain nor pleasure, nor can he die of old age, until the snake is completely vanquished.
