I'm looking into getting a new manga and was thinking about getting Yatsuba &. I'm a huge Azumanga Daioh fan and was wondering how good this is. I've been looking at some scantilations and it seems pretty funny, but there's only three volumes over here. So should I get it or not?

PS: You guys can hijack this topic and talk about anything Yatsuba &.

If you like Azumanga than I'd definitely recommend this, I personally think it's great and very funny in places. I especially love the family next door.

The only annoying thing is the way ADV Manga, as they're such a shambles, have had it on hiatus for a year now with no indication yet as to whether they'll get back to releasing volumes 4 onwards (it's up to 5/6 in Japan I know), and it's getting irritating waiting to find out. There is an indication it may return early next year though.

I love Yotsuba&, it's just so refreshing and innocent. There's no complicated plot, just a crazy, curious girl and his neighbours. :3

Oh yes, I love Yotsuba&. The chapter when Jumbo first saw the eldest sister (forgot her name) = priceless. It's suprisingly funny for a "slice-of-life" type of manga (which have a tendency to be a snorefest)

Ah yes, Jumbo's feeble attempts to get closer to Asagi - always using Yotsuba to do his dirty work :D - Azuma is definitely a creator of great characters.

This thread makes me want to re-download the chapters. Any tips / hints / clues of the whereabouts?

I simply must find out why Yotsuba is terrified of the weird scarecrow

edit : nevermind, Momota Daioh has cleared out all the scans, but thanks to my persistence, I found another source.

It's been a long time since I read this, so I'm re-reading it from the first chapter. And I still LOLed. This thing is pure gold.

Amry's Observation #01 : Yotsuba is really weird.

Amry's Observation #02 : probably will not do wonders to my reputation, and some idiot will probably misquote me, but Fuuka is suprisingly hot, for what I thought is a "comic-y" character.

Amry's Observation #03 : ... but in the end, Asagi > Fuuka :)

The book store finally got Vol. 1 in. It took three weeks, but the lady there said this took awhile to get in and there where about 6 or 7 other copies that just came in too. I went out and read to where Yotsuba wanged her head on the sign that says not to lean over the escalotor thing and I had to go back to the book store and pick up Vol. 2 and 3. This is so freaking hilarous.

Yotsuba&! is so funny!
I love the series... usually, it'll take me a while to settle down and read my manga, but I can get through Yotsuba&! in no time flat!
I'm up to vol. 4... not sure if vol. 5 has been released yet?

Volume 5 came out last month in the USA and the UK. In Japan they're up to volume 7 now.

Volume 5 was awesome. Yanda is just as immature as Yotsuba xD
