Gilgamesh the Sword Collector

Ok, we all remember Gilgamesh. In FFV he was ExDeaths Henchmen, he lost to our heroes several time and to change that he found the sword excalibur. wrong, he thought he had excalubur but he had an imitation of the sword called excalipur that did 1 damage, ExDeath was pissed and trapped him in the void. In FFVIII after odin get sliced by Seifer's Hyperion, His sword cuts through the sky (probably between ffviii world and the void releasing Gilgamesh who took Odin's sword too and started helping us. (I don't really like Gilgy in VIII Because when he appears he either does good damage with excalibur, either does 1 damage with excalipur nothing else has been done as long as i have played) In IX I think he was in dugguareo but i don't really know for sure and this brings me to the point of this thread.

I saw a video of XII with Gilgamesh where he was holding Buster sword, gunblade, Tidus sword and some others i dont know. The Dog that was with him, was Enkidnu? (Enkidnu was his buddy in V).

No, i have heard little people talk about Gilgamesh and i like him so i decided to write about him. The main question though for me is the dogs name.

The dog's called Enkidu in this game, the same name his demon ally had way back in FFV. Both their names come from the myth of Gilgamesh. According to his wikipage, the other swords he has are Zidane's Orichalcon, Odin's sword, the Excalibur, the Excalipur, and a sword from the Dragon Quest games called Loto's Sword (Wyrmhero Blade in the english version). Also, according to his bestiary entry, they're all fakes.
