My uncle has some land up in the mountains near here and one day when I went to go visit him one of his cows had been torn up by a pack of coyotes a few days before I arrived. So he asked me to go hunting with him cause he didn’t want any more of his cows getting chewed up.
I said sure and he let me borrow a hunting rifle and a horse we went on our own separate ways and eventually I found them, See normally coyotes stay away from people and the horses they ride on but you could tell these beasts were hungry and they were rabid, they were a large pack of nine I managed to kill two of them before they got to the horses legs.
The Horse trampled one, but fell to the ground fortunately killing another one with its weight I had dropped my rifle when falling off the horse and Had to kill a couple with a rock, but one of them got my wrist I killed him to and my uncle showed up in the nick of time and sacred away the two gnawing on the horse with his shotgun. He picked me up and threw me on the back of the horse and we went home he called the ambulance. I ended up getting 180 stitches on my right arm and rabies shots. I feel sorry for the coyotes though I wish they didn’t have to die but survival of the fittest I suppose.
