1. Another win for the core four. They deserve it.
2. MVP = HIDEKI!!! TOTALLY DESERVED. He really won this game for them on the offensive side.
3. A-Rod gets his first World Series title!
4. Joe Girardi wins one as a manager!
5. New Yankees like Teixeira and Swisher get to win in their first year.
6. FIRST SEASON IN NEW STADIUM = WIN.
7. Maybe nine years in the making, but still way more titles than any other baseball team!

Just a few reasons why the Yankees are the absolute best franchise in the MLB. Anyone who watched this series and says they didn't deserve to win is blind and/or a Boston fan. This was just a well-played postseason and hard-earned win.

I feel honour bound to not like the Yankees as they sound like the Man Utd of baseball, yet Endy sounds so sanctimonious about them I'm warming to them a bit now.

Abscess - really? I don't really see professional footballers in the UK as steroid users on the whole.

While I doubt that most baseball players use anabolic steroids, I think he was going somewhere when he mentioned "steroids of some sort".

Like, it's common practice for cyclists and runners to abuse antiflammatory steroids.
